Hey Papaw, You're Killing Us!

Hey Papaw, You're Killing Us!

As a kid I witnessed it over and over. Neighbors changing their motor oil and anti-freeze and just dumping the used stuff out on the ground. My papaw would use it to kill weeds along his fence row, sure it killed the weeds but it could also be killing US! With more and more people moving out into the Tennessee suburbs, the dangers of deadly chemicals seeping into water supplies is growing by leaps and bounds. It's hard to teach an old dog new tricks, but it is time to clean up our acts! Just because you're a sixth-grade educated, overall wearing, tobacco spittin', red-neck, doesn't mean you can't dispose of poisonous chemicals properly.

Luckily, this Saturday, the folks in 3 counties will have their chance to "properly" dispose of their stored up 5 gallon buckets full of old motor oil, paint, anti-freeze, and car batteries. Click on the link below to learn more.
